Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite | Some weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology treatments in both inpatient and outpatient settings within an acute care environment
• Evaluate and treat patients across a range of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Document patient care and progress using Meditech (Inpatient) and Redoc (Outpatient) charting systems
• Participate in a structured facility, department, and floor orientation program including supervised buddy training prior to independent patient care
• Adhere to facility dress code standards appropriate to the assigned care setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of California
• Current BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association
• Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Availability for some weekend coverage

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an acute care or Level II Trauma hospital setting
• Familiarity with Meditech and/or Redoc electronic health record systems
