CNC / Manual Machinist

Description Join a stable manufacturer building custom food packaging equipment in a modern machine shop environment. CV-Tek is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Elgin, Illinois. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both setting up and running CNC lathes in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Schedule 1st Shift 7:00 PM - 3:30 PM Overtime available No weekend work currently What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC lathes Run production jobs and monitor machine performance Make tooling and offset adjustments as needed Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, gauges, and comparators Troubleshoot machining issues and identify process improvements Work closely with engineering and manufacturing personnel Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area Complete required production documentation Work overtime as needed Why Join CV-Tek?
