CDL A Local Live Haul Drivers in Mount Crawford, VA

Rocktown Transport LLC is hiring

. Drivers will be driving to the Monroe NC facility, picking up live turkeys, and hauling them back to the Mount Crawford, VA area. Drivers will be safely delivering 1 load per day. Rocktown Transport LLC is a family-owned contract carrier based in the Shenandoah Valley, specializing in the transportation of agricultural commodities including live poultry, bulk feed, and related ingredients. We proudly partner with customers ranging from individual family farms to large corporate poultry companies and cooperatives. Rocktown Transport offers the best of both worlds—small enough to value and care for our employees, yet large enough to deliver reliable, high-quality service to our customers.

Compensation

Guaranteed weekly pay: $1,750

Paid daily rate

Average hours weekly: 55-60

Bonuses:

Sign on bonus: $1,500 paid after 45 days employed

Weekly attendance bonus: Report on time and work every day you’re scheduled in a week to receive an additional $50 per load for all loads that week

Driver referral bonus: $1,500 paid after 30 days, $500 paid after 120 days

Annual holiday bonus

Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

Home time: Home daily

Schedule: Sunday – Thurday with some Fridays

Shift: Night shift, start time between 3:00pm – 6:00pm

Route: To Monroe, NC and back to Mount Crawford, VA

Level of Touch: No touch freight

Equipment

Late model Peterbilt xywuqvp and Kenworth Trucks

Manual transmission

Inward & outward facing cameras

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age

Must have CDL A license

Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience

Previous live haul experience preferred

Must be able to operate a manual transmission

Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations

Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen

Hiring Radius:Drivers must live within 70 miles of Mount Crawford, VA or be willing torelocatefor this position
