Our team is passionate about our mission and creating an enduring legacy.As Test Engineering Manager at our Grandview, MO facility, you will lead a team of test engineers responsible for developing and executing test plans for propulsion systems, avionics, and structures. You will ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of our spacecraft components through rigorous testing methodologies while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Special Mentions:Relocation providedTravel expected up to 25% of the timeShifts available:1st Shift OperationsInterviews will include a technical assessmentMultiple positions availableResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead a team of test engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and career developmentDevelop comprehensive test strategies that align with program milestones and requirementsOversee the design, development, and validation of test equipment and proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality AssuranceManage test schedules, resources, and budgets to meet program objectivesDrive continuous improvement in test processes, methodologies, and equipmentEnsure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirementsAnalyze test data and communicate results to stakeholders, identifying root causes and recommending solutions for technical issuesChampion a culture of innovation and excellence within the test organizationMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical field8+ years of experience in test engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership roleExperience with aerospace or propulsion systems testingStrong understanding of instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and test methodologiesExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issuesProven leadership abilities with experience managing engineering teamsStrong communication skills and ability to present technical information to various audiencesPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Engineering or related technical fieldExperience with liquid rocket propulsion systems testingKnowledge of environmental testing, structural testing, or avionics testingFamiliarity with test automation and software developmentExperience with DO-178, NASA standards, or military specificationsProgram management experience and PMP certificationExperience with systems engineering concepts and lifecycle managementCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
