Phlebotomist

Labcorp Phlebotomist – Charlotte, NC Labcorp is a leader in diagnostics, drug development and healthcare innovation. We are seeking a Phlebotomist to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with rotating weekends. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Benefits Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off or Flexible Time Off, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan.
