Job Summary

A Revenue Account Specialist (RAS) is responsible for capturing revenue timely and accurately while being able to understand how the revenue is applied. The RAS will be able to answer revenue-related questions regarding the location(s) in which they are required to audit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and interpret tariff and contract pricing
• Audit railroad revenue movements for accuracy
• Apply receivable and payable charges in accordance with contract terms
• Enter, verify, and process all invoices accurately and on time
• Generate and distribute customer invoices promptly
• Investigate and resolve invoice disputes in a timely manner
• Maintain and update charge rules and codes within operating systems for all current and future contracts and tariffs
• Continuously improve processes to enhance customer satisfaction and long-term profitability
• Leverage technology to ensure revenue accuracy, data integrity, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position and location. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Two to Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with vessel and barge billing preferred, but not required

Education

Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent
