POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Trucking Foreman, Truck Drivers are responsible for performing all driving duties in a safe manner, maintaining and cleaning assigned trucks, and performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

DUTIES:

• Perform driving assignments.
• Maintain and clean assigned truck and perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Report any truck mechanical problems to maintenance division.
• Obey all traffic laws and ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
• Assist other employees and work with others as a team on a construction crew.
• As needed, operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
• Must have a Class A or B CDL, current DOT Medical Card, a clean, insurable driving record.
• Able to work well with others in a team environment and follow instructions.
• Able to move at least 50 pounds.
• Must be able and available to Travel and work Out Of Town when needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/SAFETY:

• Sitting : 50% of time
• Standing: 20% of time
• Driving: 30% of time
• Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 65 pounds. May occasionally lift items above their head.
• Physical Movement : May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab and hold objects. Required to climb a ladder on the truck several times a day.
• Speaking / Listening : Needs to be able to communicate well with customers, dispatch, supervision, receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements.
• Working Conditions: 40% of time will be spent working outside in the elements. Must be able to work long and irregular hours (early and late) during the busy season.
