• Position Type: 5-1.0 FTE
\n
• Night Shift Schedule:
\n
• Each hospital is staffed overnight with teams of 25 physicians and 12 APPs, with overlapping coverage from 16000200.\n
  \n
  • Ann Arbor: 2100 0700\n
    \n
    • Three physicians provide coverage at Ann Arbor from 02000700.
    \n
  \n
  • Chelsea: 2100 0700\n
    \n
    • Independent coverage required at Chelsea and Livingston from 02000700
    \n
  \n
  • Livingston: 1900-0700\n
    \n
    • Independent coverage required at Chelsea and Livingston from 02000700
    \n
  \n
  • Day Shift Schedule: 0700-1900
  \n
  • Typical 7 on 7 off
  \n
  • Location: Opportunity to select two of the three locations listed:\n
    \n
    • Chelsea Hospital\n
      \n
      • Average census of 12-16 patients per physician per shift. The ICU is closed.
      \n
    \n
    • Trinity Health Ann Arbor\n
      \n
      • Average census of 14-16 patients per physician each shift. The ICU is closed. 
      \n
    \n
    • Trinity Health Livingston\n
      \n
      • Average census of 25-30 patients per physician each shift. The ICU is open with an Intensivist on duty Monday to Friday with afternoon rounds.

\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
\n
• State of Michigan License
\n
• BLS and ACLS certified
\n
• Hospitalist Medicine experience preferred
\n

\n

Duties & Responsibilities

\n

A typical shift may include:

\n

\n
• Collaboration with other health care professionals in providing direct inpatient care
\n
• Monitoring and management of acute and chronic conditions
\n
• Respond to clinical changes and deteriorations\n
  \n
  • Livingston: Overseeing Code Blues
  \n
\n
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and ensure appropriate coding and billing compliance
\n
• Complete up to 8 admissions in a shift
\n
• Supervise APPs for admissions and cross coverage issues
\n
