Job Description

The Stepdown Unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiology-related procedures and conditions. The RN will work within a team to manage patient care effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient assignment with ratios of 1:3 for stepdown and 1:5 or 6 for floor patients.
• Titrate medications such as heparin, insulin, and nitroglycerin as per protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status using Philips tele monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and clinical associates to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and follow established policies and protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS certification beneficial.
• Cardiac nursing experience preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
