Transportation Bus Drivers - Substitute (Not Benefit Eligible) - For the 2026-2027 School Year

Lincoln Public Schools is accepting applications for school bus drivers. Regular routes are available as well as substitute positions. This is a great opportunity for students, retirees, at-home parents, or self-employed in need of extra money.

To assist with the expeditious completion of training and obtaining DOT Certification, we recommend, but is not required, that applicants for Regular Driver or Substitute Driver successfully complete and obtain a Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) Certification. • Route hours are typically 6:30 to 9:30 a.m., and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m, with a potential for working during the mid-day.
• Substitute Drivers have the option of working partial days.
• Excellent driving record required.
• Starting salary for regular bus driver: $20.00. Salary will increase to $27.75/hour after training and CDL is obtained.
• LPS provides all the necessary training to obtain CDL license and School Bus Permit.
