Veterinary Referral Center (VRC) is a comprehensive, referral specialty & emergency critical care veterinary hospital in Malvern, Pennsylvania. We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for appointments, advanced imaging, surgery and emergency/critical care services. At our hospital, you'll be working alongside a large team of experienced & board-certified veterinarians with advanced specialized training who utilize the latest innovations in medicine and technology to treat companion animals. Our veterinary services include trauma treatment and critical care, medical oncology, radiation therapy oncology, cardiology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, dentistry/oral surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, MRI and CT, endoscopy, rehabilitation, and emergency services.
We are looking to add a skilled Emergency Veterinary Assistant to complement our growing, fast paced hospital. By joining VRC you will be supported by a team of excellent nurses and assistants along with experienced, board-certified veterinarians. We utilize the latest innovations in medicine and technology to treat companion animals on an emergency basis and/or long-term ailments.
Employment Type:
- Part-Time or Full-Time
Schedule:
- Part-Time every Saturday 8:00 P to 8:00 A
- Full-Time 2-week rotation that would include every Saturday and every other Sunday
- Week 1 Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
- Week 2 Sunday, Tuesday, Saturday
Compensation:
- Hourly range $16-$20/hour
- Overnight shifts receive a $3/hr. shift differential
- Weekend Shifts receives a $3/hr. shift differential
Preferred skills :
- Able to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and our community
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive outlook, a passion for providing the highest quality in patient care and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.
- Restraining of patients
- Cleaning of equipment and cages, and stocking the treatment areas
- Assisting Doctors and Nurses with daily tasks
- At least 1 year of veterinary experience is a plus.
- Flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, and a team player
