Requirements

• Experienced Dental Hygienist (3+ years)
• Licensed dental hygienist

Education: Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Licensure: Valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license for the State of Maine.
Experience: Mid-level experience in a clinical dental setting.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of periodontics and current dental hygiene practices.
Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Description

Direct Patient Care: Perform comprehensive dental hygiene treatments, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing.
Care Plan Development: Assess patient oral health and develop individualized care plans to address periodontal disease and overall hygiene.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with dentists and other healthcare professionals to diagnose issues and coordinate treatment.
Patient Education: Interact with patients to provide education on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventative care.
Schedule Management: Assist in managing the hygiene schedule to ensure efficient patient flow and adequate treatment time.
Compliance: Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
