Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist located in Charleston, SC. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage vision and ocular health issues, prescribe corrective lenses, and educate patients on ocular health. Responsibilities also include collaborating with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and staying updated on advancements in the field of optometry to ensure best practices are used in patient care. Qualifications Strong clinical skills in performing eye exams, diagnosing ocular conditions, and creating treatment plans Experience with contact lens fitting and prescribing glasses Proficiency in the use of advanced diagnostic instruments and equipment Excellent patient communication and education skills Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff and patients Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program Valid optometry license in the state of South Carolina Interest or experience in managing medical eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eye is a plus Benefits Salary: $125,000-$180,000 Production bonus: 15% of collections 8 Paid days off 80 hours Paid Time Off Continuing Education allowants of $2500/year American Optometric Association (AOA) and South Carolina Optometric Physician Association dues paid by Lowcountry Eye Care 401K with 3% match $350/month health care contribution
