Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

Medical Malpractice Associate AttorneyWe are seeking a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney to join our powerhouse MedMal Litigation team to work out of either our Philadelphia or Pittsburgh office. As a Litigation Associate Attorney you will work closely with our talented attorneys providing support before, during and after trials.Responsibilities include:Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memorandumE-file all court documents in state and federal courtCommunications with clients, court, counsel, and othersConduct legal research and factual investigationPrepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responsesDraft and server summonsCoordinate and summarize depositionsPrepare trial binders and exhibitsDrafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the courtPerforming administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics)Maintain pleadings and discovery indexesOrganize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendicesAid attorney with interrogatories and other discovery requestsGather relevant information from a variety of sourcesLiaise between trial teams and internal/external third partiesWitness preparationAssisting with case settlementsOther tasks as requested by the attorneyQualifications include:Associate and Juris Doctorate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)1+ years of litigation experience preferredExperience in Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, General Liability, or other injury related practice areas. (preferred)Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervisionExcellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearingsApplicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices, etcHighly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience with Medical Malpractice Plaintiff Actions is a plusFederal Judicial Clerkship is a plusBenefits include:Morgan & Morgan is a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful.
