Job Description:

- Position Details:
- Role: Surgical Technologist
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: Days, 4x10 scheduled between 0700-1900
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Hours: As required by facility
- Call Requirements: Average around 5 or less per 8 weeks

- Requirements:
- Must have graduated from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
- Required Certifications: BLS from AHA only.
- Experience: 1+ years of Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital setting.
- Preferred Licensure: CORST (Certification for Surgical Technology).

- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the surgeon and circulating Registered Nurse.
- Efficiently set up surgical cases for multiple specialty disciplines.
- Maintain a sterile field and perform instrument, sponge, and sharp counts.
- Assist OR staff in ensuring patient safety and adherence to policies.
- Act as a resource person for newly hired Surgical Technicians and students.

- Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment with occasional high-stress situations.
- Stand and walk most of the time; lift/push patients and equipment.
- Strict adherence to Universal Precautions required.
