Picture your day: you walk the production floor, review a new work order for a line expansion, and pull shop drawings to plan a clean, code-compliant installation. Mid-morning, a conveyor stalls—your expertise in power distribution and motor controls gets the line moving again. After lunch, you upgrade lighting circuits for energy efficiency, document the work, and tidy the area so the next shift starts strong. Safety is second nature, and you never hesitate to alert your supervisor when equipment or materials aren’t right.

What you’ll take on

• Install complete electrical systems for new construction within the facility.
• Diagnose faults across power, lighting, control circuits, and equipment to pinpoint electrical distribution issues.
• Install, modify, and upgrade both new and existing electrical infrastructure, components, and related equipment.
• Repair damaged gear, conduit, and conductors; pitch in with additional tasks to support company objectives.
• Work safely at all times, consistently applying safe work practices and lockout/tagout where required.
• Immediately notify your supervisor of faulty machines and/or defective materials.
• Demonstrate Ashley’s Core and Growth Values in everything you do.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment and machinery as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment and maintain routine records and documentation.
• Operate machine shop tools (saws, grinders, drills, and more) when the job calls for it.
• Inspect materials and finished work to confirm they meet specifications.
• Work confidently from shop drawings, blueprints, sketches, work orders, and verbal direction.
• Keep your workbench, tools, and shop area orderly and clean.

Qualifications Required

• Valid State Electrician License — Current journeyman or master electrician license in good standing.
• 3–5 years of hands-on commercial or industrial experience, including power distribution, motor controls, and lighting systems.
• Comfort working safely from 120V through 480V systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, one-line drawings, and control logic diagrams.

Preferred

• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and building management systems (BMS).
• Background in manufacturing or large-scale facilities with production equipment and conveyor systems.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
