Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant working within an engaging and supportive school setting near Madison, TN. This position plays a key role in enhancing the educational experience for students from PreK through 12th grade across several campuses. You’ll provide essential therapy services, manage diverse caseloads, and collaborate with educational staff to help each student reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid COTA certification and active state licensure
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Skilled in administering school-based therapy, data collection, and writing detailed evaluation reports
- Comfortable working onsite and providing services to students of varying ages and needs
- Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Able to work a full-time schedule (Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week) from now through the end of the school year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs for students from PreK to 12th grade
- Collect data and track student progress toward therapy goals
- Complete timely and thorough evaluations and associated documentation
- Engage in collaborative meetings and communicate effectively with educators, families, and related service providers
- Support and encourage student participation and independence in classroom activities
