Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Full TimeThe Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across all applicable areas of the facility. This role is responsible for performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver direct patient care and perform respiratory therapy procedures in accordance with established policies and clinical standardsAssess patient conditions, monitor responses to treatment, and adjust care as appropriate in collaboration with the care teamOrganize workload to ensure timely and effective completion of prescribed therapiesRespond promptly to emergency situations and provide appropriate respiratory interventionsAccurately document patient care, treatments, and outcomes in medical recordsCommunicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status and care plansEvaluate patient outcomes and provide recommendations for ongoing careParticipate in departmental meetings, continuing education, and professional development activitiesMaintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staffPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate degree in Respiratory Care from a CoARC-accredited programZero to less than one year of experience (new graduates encouraged to apply)Licensure & CertificationsRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (or must be obtained within 3 months of hire for new graduates)Participation in the NBRC Continuing Competency Program (if credentialed after July 1, 2002)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 3 months of hirePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hireKey Skills & AttributesStrong clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsAbility to respond effectively in emergency situationsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesStrong organizational and documentation skillsCommitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
