Intake Specialist (Part-Time)

Part-Time Intake SpecialistThe Part-Time Intake Specialist serves as the first point of contact for community members seeking support through Voces Unidas's hotline and direct services programs. In this role, intake means listening to callers, asking a standard set of questions, documenting their needs, and connecting them to the appropriate program or staff member for follow up. The Intake Specialist answers incoming calls, gathers basic information, and accurately records details to support case management and program services. This is an entry level, part-time, on-call position (10-20 hours per week) with hours that may fluctuate based on program needs. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work bilingually in English and Spanish. Voces Unidas includes four separate organizations, all working independently to accomplish the larger mission.Key ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming hotline calls during assigned shifts and conduct basic intake, including asking required questions, listening to caller needs and documenting information accuratelyIdentify caller needs and appropriately route, escalate, or refer cases to resources or appropriate staffAccurately document intake information in organizational database and tracking systemsMaintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care and professionalismSupport administrative tasks related to intake, case coordination, and follow-upCommunicate urgent issues, trends or follow-up needs to supervisor or relevant staffSupport smooth handoffs to direct services staff when neededQualificationsBilingual English and Spanish required (verbal and written).Ability to work between 10-20 hours per week on an on-call basis, with weekly hours fluctuatingAvailability during weekday office hours, with occasional weekend coverageEntry level position- college degree not requiredStrong listening, communication and interpersonal skills.Comfort using computers, databases, and basic office software.Reliable, organized, and detail oriented.Ability to work independently in a remoteSchedulePart-time, on-call (10-20 hours/week)Hours may vary week to week based on hotline and program needsSalary$17 - $22 per hour
