Our organization is in search of a Hospitalist Physician to provide locum tenens support to address an immediate need.

Opportunity Details & Requirements

• Schedule: January - Ongoing; Day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Night shift from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; Expect 6–12 night shifts and 2–4 day shifts monthly, with the possibility of additional coverage. Both physicians will alternate between day and night shifts.
• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• Types of Cases: Hospitalist duties include admitting patients from the Emergency Department, conducting daily rounds, managing acute medical conditions, coordinating with specialists, overseeing discharges, performing medication reconciliation, reviewing diagnostic tests, facilitating family meetings, and participating in multidisciplinary rounds. The facility has an open intensive care unit.
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days
• Electronic Medical Record System: Cerner
• Certifications Required: Board Certification is highly preferred; Board Eligibility is required; completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency is necessary.
• Licensure Required: Valid California medical license only.

Woodland is situated about 15 miles northwest of Sacramento. The region is well-irrigated, attracting individuals interested in agriculture. Notably, the Gibson Mansion in Yolo County, now a historical museum, was once the residence of William B. Gibson, who relocated from Virginia and began farming and raising livestock on his extensive property in 1857.
