About us Tri-Jay Tire Distributors Inc. DBA K&M Tire / Southeastern Wholesale Tire Founded in 1985, we are an independent family-owned wholesale tire distributor serving tire dealers in 5 states (North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Eastern Tennessee and Eastern Georgia). We have 5 wholesale distribution warehouses: Hickory NC, Richmond VA, Walterboro SC, Raleigh NC, and Greenville NC. This is a local route delivery driver position in the wholesale tire distribution industry for our K&M Tire Hickory NC location. We are seeking an energetic person eager to work as a local delivery driver. Our shift is Monday - Friday day shift. This position consists of delivering orders/tires to customers. Drivers will be lifting 15 - 75 lbs routinely. Delivery includes unloading of tires, ensuring the accuracy of delivery, obtaining a signature on paperwork from customer, and often receiving payment for the delivery. Drivers are responsible for the payload, paperwork and payments taken. Occasionally, a driver may have to load up and bring back returns. Drivers could be driving a pickup truck or a box truck. CDL is not required for our box trucks. Responsibilities Deliver orders/tires to customers; unload tires; ensure delivery accuracy; obtain customer signatures on paperwork; often receive payment for the delivery. Manage payload, paperwork, and payments; assist with loading returns as needed. Operate a pickup or box truck; CDL is not required for box trucks. Qualifications Route driving experience: 1 year (Preferred) Language: English (Preferred) Ability to commute to Hickory, NC 28602 or relocate before starting work (Required) Clean MVR; willingness to undergo background checks and disclose any items that may appear on a background check Job Details Job Type: Full-time Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour (dependent upon experience) Work Location: In person Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday (hours may vary depending on the delivery route) Benefits (after qualifying employment duration) Health Insurance, Eye Care, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance 401(k) with 3% employer match (after 1 year) Paid Holiday and Paid Vacation Vision Insurance (after 90 days) Paid Time Off (after 1 year) Paid Holidays (after 30 days) We do require clean MVR records to operate our vehicles.
