American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position at a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of EP Lab experience with hands-on scrub proficiency. Requirements Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of experience in an EP Lab setting required Hands-on scrub experience in EP procedures is required, including ablations, CRM device implants, and LAAO; LLE scrub experience strongly preferred Proficiency in sterile technique, radiation safety, circulating, documentation, hemodynamic monitoring, and X-ray equipment operation required Epic/Cupid EMR experience required Must have at least 12 months of most recent core experience within the EP Lab specialty, with experience within the past year Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Responsibilities Work in the Electrophysiology Lab of a large 885-bed Level 1 Trauma academic medical center and teaching hospital Patient population includes cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology cases, averaging 15-20 cases per day Required procedures include ablations, CRM device implants, LAAO, and laser lead extractions (LLE scrub experience requested) Additional skills used in the lab include moderate sedation, Isuprel drips, cardioversions, 3D mapping, pacing/stimulation, hemodynamic monitoring, arterial/venous sheath management, and defibrillator threshold testing EMR is Epic/Cupid; Epic experience is required Department equipment includes CARTO, Rhythmia, ESI/Opal, Boston Scientific FaraPulse and Medtronic Affera PFA/RFA, 3D/4D ICE, intra-op TEE, X-ray equipment, Zoll defibrillator, and laser lead extraction systems Primary shift is 10-hour days, Monday-Friday, with variable start times between 0600-1900; some 12-hour day shifts (0630-1900) may apply Weekend rotation requires working approximately 3-4 Saturdays per 8-10 week schedule cycle Late days (finishing cases as needed) occur 3-5 times per month No floating required On-call is limited to the day after Thanksgiving and the day before Christmas only The unit is closed on select holidays: New Year's Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating EP procedures, administering and monitoring moderate sedation, managing Isuprel drips, performing cardioversions, and providing airway management during nurse-led sedation Department is team-oriented, patient-focused, and excellence-driven, with a collaborative culture that includes physicians, fellows, anesthesia, vendors, and leadership Orientation consists of a general new employee orientation plus 2 days of departmental orientation Surgical green scrubs are required and are provided by the facility Free parking is available in close proximity to the department Schedule is managed on a 6-week cycle; RTO requires manager approval First-time travelers may be considered depending on years of EP Lab experience Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-723436 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
