The Academic Supports Specialist with coordinating supplemental assessments tools, instructional media, and targeted intervention activities that support the achievement of Title I students. The position helps ensure accurate administration of diagnostics, maintains access to supplemental instructional resources, and provides logistical and data supporting intervention programs. This role strengthens the school's capacity to deliver services by supporting intervention staff, monitoring program implementation, and helping ensure compliance with federal requirements. Essential Functions: Coordinate state and supplemental district assessments used for program planning, progress monitoring, and intervention placement aimed at identifying and addressing learning gaps specifically for Title I students. Provide training and support for staff administering assessments, interventions, diagnostics, and progress monitoring tools, under the guidance/direction of the appropriate administrator. Maintain secure handling, inventory, and return of all testing materials across assigned campuses. Compile, analyze, and report assessment data to inform instructional planning, uphold accountability measures, and ensure compliance with Title I requirements. Manage and maintain instructional media, and technology resources purchased for instructional or intervention focus, including the production of signage and outreach materials for program communication support. Assist with processing media for circulation, and other related media tasks aligned to academic achievement and supplemental instruction, such as tracking and reconciling inventories of books, digital licenses, and supplemental instructional materials. Provide technical and logistical support for computer-based intervention programs and assessment tools, ensuring consistent implementation and adherence to best practices. Support data collection, reporting, and compliance monitoring for Title I programs, including file and data maintenance of district and state testing results and resource documentation. Support with relevant data for extended-day tutoring, concept recovery programs, and other supplemental interventions. Serve as a liaison between instructional teams, technology testing staff, integrated action plan team and federal programs to align Title I assessment strategies, intervention efforts and compliance requirements. Supports the relationship between the Phoenix Union High School District and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and school information; follows Government Board Policies; performs all other related duties as required or assigned. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, AND one year of experience in educational testing, instructional, technical, or clerical support; postsecondary education preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid Arizona State Driver's License is required. Must possess a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint clearance card within 90 days of employment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Knowledge of state testing procedures, FERPA, and district accountability systems. Competency in student information systems, Office 365, and experience with educational technology software and testing management programs preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Skill in inventory control, record keeping, and data management systems. Skill in researching, analyzing, and compiling data for reports and technical documents. Ability to travel between district high school sites as needed. Ability to write professional reports and correspondence from provided instructions. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Physical Demands and Working Environment: Work is performed in a standard office environment. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work a flexible schedule during peak testing times.
