Physiatrist Medical Director

Common Spirit Houston - Rehabilitation Hospital, a facility managed by Lifepoint Rehabilitation, is seeking a Medical Director to provide medical direction and collaborate with the CEO and clinical team. Practice Info

• The facility is a new free-standing hospital designed to expand access to crucial rehabilitation services.
• Located on the campus of St. Luke's Health - Springwoods Village Hospital in Spring, the facility is 40-bed and 58,000 square feet.
• It will address a community need by expanding access to comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services for adults recovering from stroke, neurological disease, brain or spinal cord injuries, orthopedic procedures and other debilitating illnesses or injuries.
• A team of expert rehabilitation professionals will provide intensive nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology services.
• The rehabilitation hospital will be specially designed to create a therapeutic environment for patients and will be equipped with current leading-edge amenities and adaptive units, including multidisciplinary therapy gymnasiums, a specialized "activities of daily living" suite, and outdoor courtyards.
• The facility is slated to open in summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and the entire clinical team to provide medical direction in conformance with the facility's policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission.
