School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Wilmington, Massachusetts

Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant educational setting near Wilmington, MA. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from September 14th through December 23rd, offering you the chance to make a difference during a critical part of the school year. Your day will follow a consistent 7:30 am to 3:30 pm schedule, working closely with experienced professionals and nurturing students’ communication growth. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Valid and current SLPA credential or license, meeting state requirements Prior experience in a school or elementary caseload preferred Familiarity with assisting in speech and language therapy activities Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to build rapport with young students, teachers, and families Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative school environment Key Responsibilities: Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to implement therapy plans for elementary-aged students Provide direct and small group support to help students develop communication skills Track progress, gather data, and provide input for Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Prepare materials and adapt activities to students’ diverse learning needs Communicate and collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals Maintain student confidentiality and comply with school policies What Awaits You: Gain valuable experience working with a supportive school team and a dynamic student population Structure and variety, with clear daily hours and the opportunity to focus on a set caseload The satisfaction of helping children achieve their communication goals and reach their fullest potential Bring your skills, compassion, and commitment to supporting young learners’ growth.
