Work Environment\nThis role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. You will work within a structured outpatient environment, engaging with clients via telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems like AVATAR. Despite the remote nature of the position, our team emphasizes collaboration and communication to maintain a cohesive approach to client care.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings to create a detailed case history. \n
- Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for diverse client demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups. \n
- Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote healing and growth. \n
- Monitor client progress throughout treatment plans, making necessary adjustments based on feedback and clinical observations. \n
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including mental health specialists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to enhance client care. \n
- Attend to follow-up requests from psychiatrists and other healthcare providers, ensuring comprehensive care for clients who may require hospitalization. \n
- Identify at-risk behaviors that may impede recovery and implement strategies to address these challenges. \n
- Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges collaboratively. \n
Our clients are individuals from varied age groups and backgrounds, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and trauma-related issues. You will work closely with clients who value personalized care and a collaborative approach, empowering them to engage actively in their mental health journey.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). \n
- A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n
- Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor with a focus on therapeutic interventions. \n
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation. \n

- Experience addressing underlying physical health issues, emotional disorders, and addiction-related challenges. \n
- A strong understanding of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). \n
- Knowledge of the psychiatric medications prescribed by medical professionals and their implications for client care. \n
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage empathetically with clients. \n
- A nurturing approach that fosters trusting relationships with clients and their families. \n
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a signing bonus.
