General Information
- Number of Beds: 2 heart rooms with a 3rd possible
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 CVOR RN and 1 CVOR CST
- Night Shift: No night shift, on-call only
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Type of Equipment: Various cardiac surgical equipment
- EMR: Meditech / CPN
Qualifications
Required Skills
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months of current CVOR Technologist hospital experience
- BLS Certification
- NBSTA Certification
- Active Kansas licensure
- Vascular training
Preferred Qualifications
Strong candidates may have:
- ACLS Certification
- Experience with Open Heart and Cardiovascular procedures
- Prior experience with Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
- Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Work Environment
Ideal candidates should be confident, team-oriented, and maintain a positive attitude. A focus on patient experience and effective communication with staff and providers is essential.

An ECMO program is restarting, presenting a unique opportunity for professionals interested in advanced cardiopulmonary support.
Note
On-call duties are required, including one weeknight per week and one weekend per month.
