Position Overview

Albright Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a full-time Teletherapy Specialist. This role offers the unique opportunity to provide mental health support in a fully remote setting, allowing you to connect with clients through telehealth. As a crucial member of our team, you will play an integral role in promoting mental wellness and personal growth in your clients.

About the Organization

At Albright Counseling Center, located in vibrant Orlando, Florida, we are committed to delivering individualized mental health care that empowers individuals to achieve fulfillment in their lives. Our team comprises licensed professionals who embrace a client-centered approach, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's unique needs. We foster a supportive environment that encourages professional collaboration and growth.

Work Environment

Operating in a telehealth framework, our counselors enjoy the flexibility of working remotely from the comfort of their homes. While teletherapy is the primary mode of service delivery, we also engage in regular virtual team meetings that allow for collaboration and peer support. We value a confidential, comfortable, and secure environment for both clients and therapists—ensuring that everyone feels safe throughout their therapeutic journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and psychological evaluations to discern the mental health concerns that clients present, establishing informed and individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver personalized therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or others aligned with the latest research and best practices.
  • Establish therapeutic goals collaboratively with clients and continuously monitor their progress throughout the treatment process, adapting interventions as required to optimize outcomes.
  • Facilitate teletherapy sessions for clients who prefer virtual access or face logistical challenges due to transportation or disability, ensuring that quality care is accessible to all.
  • Maintain diligent and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to adhere to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance clinical skills, such as attending workshops, pursuing further education, and participating in peer supervision.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Albright Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and relationship concerns. Our therapists are trained to provide culturally competent care, ensuring that all clients feel valued and understood. Through effective teletherapy, you will help clients navigate their challenges from their chosen environments, promoting greater comfort and receptivity to treatment.

Qualifications

  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is essential.
  • A highly relevant master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are crucial to building trusting relationships with clients and facilitating effective therapy sessions.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to therapy, demonstrating a non-judgmental attitude toward clients' diverse experiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage a caseload and fulfill administrative requirements.

Preferred Experience

While experience in the field is valued, we are particularly interested in candidates who possess a solid understanding of and proficiency with telehealth platforms and practices. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation software is highly desirable, enabling efficient management of client interactions and information.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
  • Access to administrative support for scheduling, billing, and insurance processing, allowing you to focus primarily on client care.
  • Generous reimbursement for continuing education opportunities, supporting your ongoing professional development.
  • Flexibility to create a work schedule that suits your lifestyle, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
  • Engagement in a collaborative workplace culture with regular opportunities for peer consultation and supervision.
