Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to support a busy surgical office. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical front desk operations, insurance processes, and patient coordination. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a polished, professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
• Answer phones and manage appointment scheduling
• Verify insurance information and process referrals
• Handle prior authorizations for procedures (MRI, CT scans, etc.)
• Assist with TDI/FMLA paperwork and related documentation
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up to date
• Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow
• Perform general administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Previous medical receptionist or healthcare administrative experience required
• Strong knowledge of insurance processes, including referrals and prior authorizations
• Experience with TDI/FMLA paperwork preferred
• Professional appearance and demeanor (surgical office environment)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Reliable and available Monday through Friday
• Ability to pass a standard background check
