Clinical Supervisor

Job Description Doc Wayne is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to serve as a leader within our clinical department, which serves youth and adults across Massachusetts via in‑person and telehealth services. This person will be an independently licensed mental health clinician with three years of post licensure clinical experience who can provide supervision to staff/interns and carry a caseload of individual therapy clients. This role also provides oversight to our clinical programs, particularly with The Community Clinic (TCC), which provides outpatient therapy to youth, adolescents, and adults. This position is for an individual who is independent, adaptable, and proactive. They will possess strong clinical judgment, experience with clinical documentation, excellent emotional intelligence, and the ability to stay organized amidst competing priorities. At a Glance Status : Full‑Time Employee Schedule : 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, with some evening hour availability required. Location : In‑person at our main office in Boston’s Allston neighborhood, as well as community‑based sites across greater Boston and the metrowest region. Occasional remote work offered. Reports To : Senior Director of Clinical Services Supervisor : Yes (employees and interns) Start Date : August or early September 2026 (or until filled) Responsibilities Provide weekly clinical supervision to employees and interns; complete timely supervision notes and evaluations, delegate tasks, support accountability Maintain a minimum caseload of 12 individual clients per week Provide telehealth therapy in a manner that upholds compliance and confidentiality standards Lead sport‑based group therapy sessions as assigned Participate in weekly group supervision; support planning and facilitation as needed Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours crisis calls Model, develop, and coach best practices for clinical documentation Review and approve supervisees’ clinical documentation in a timely fashion Work with department leaders and other teammates surrounding clinical orientation and onboarding; collaborate on the design and delivery of additional clinical trainings Support clinical dept. in implementing operational systems to improve overall efficiency Support in the design and implementation of program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) Support all crisis management responses including reviewing and signing off on incident reports; assist in mandated reporting Support referral and audit processes as needed Assist in hiring staff and interns as needed Assist with coordinating group therapy, individual therapy, and recess schedules Assist with data collection for compliance and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Work with program team on maintaining and strengthening existing partnerships, community‑based organizations, and residential treatment facilities Maintain good standing with appropriate licensing board Participate in regularly scheduled meetings (e.g. supervision, team/department meetings, staff meetings, etc.) Complete annual trainings and paperwork in a timely manner Represent Doc Wayne at community events as needed Special projects as assigned Preferred Qualifications 2‑3 years experience providing clinical supervision to mental health clinicians 1‑2 years experience managing program(s) Bilingual/multilingual speaking and writing capabilities, particularly in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and/or Cape Verdean Creole Experience working in a partnership‑based model or organization Experience working with underserved youth (experience working with youth who have experienced trauma preferred) Knowledge of Massachusetts behavioral health system (CBHI, MassHealth, DCF/DMH resources, etc.) Knowledge of electronic medical records, billing, and contract‑based work Proficiency with Google Workspace and Zoom Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi‑task efficiently Excellent professional boundaries Valid driver’s license and vehicle Requirements 5‑6 years of clinical mental health counseling experience Independent clinical licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, etc.) with 3 years of clinical experience post‑independent licensure 1‑2 years of experience providing clinical supervision to mental health clinicians Belief in the power of sports, play, and movement to benefit people Cultural humility with an understanding of the way in which systems of oppression impact the mental health needs of marginalized populations Ability to complete and maintain clearance with all required background checks Ability to see teammates, clients, and partners.
