Sterile Processing Technician
Location: New Albany, OH
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Monday - Wednesday, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
Job Description: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The primary role of the Sterile Processing Technician involves the preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring all materials meet safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Decontaminating, cleaning, and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Quality checking instruments to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Maintaining accurate records of sterilization processes.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Collaborating with surgical and nursing staff to fulfill equipment needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Experience in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization standards and procedures.
- Certification from a recognized sterile processing educational program is advantageous.
