Department Manager Responsibilities General Oversight Assist the General Manager in overall restaurant operations. Supervise all food and beverage departments on a shift‑by‑shift basis. Ensure a safe environment and improve profitability through revenue and labor management. Team Management Staffing, succession planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training and ongoing development of department team members. Create schedules within budgeted labor guidelines. Develop incentive programs, contests, and performance feedback. Administer merit increase process and performance management. Provide coaching, training, and guest experience management. Quality Operations Ensure adherence to new food and bar product rollouts. Maintain recipe adherence, portion control and inventory accuracy. Communicate opportunities and issues to the department and management team. Handle guest comments and quality complaints. Operate the department in compliance with health and safety standards. Maintain equipment and report repairs. Sales and Profitability Manage overall food and beverage costs and labor results. Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular audits. Analyze P&L statements and create action plans for improvement. Implement sales building incentives and contests. Hospitality Management Assist the General Manager with local restaurant marketing. Implement sales incentives for the dining room service team. Complete other assigned tasks as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience. Strong commitment to a fast‑paced environment with wings, beer, and sports. Team‑focused leadership and desire to develop a high‑performing team. Open availability, including late nights and weekends. Highly motivated, results‑driven, with strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Basic math skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to maintain confidential information and enforce company policies. High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license; satisfactory background check; ability to lift 50 pounds.
