Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a regional locum tenens opportunity across Central Florida .

This opportunity is built around a four-site cross-credentialing model spanning hospital-based emergency departments and freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs). Instead of relying on the schedule of a single ED, physicians gain access to a broader pool of available shifts across the region , with the ability to work across distinctly different emergency medicine environments.

Hospital-Based Emergency Departments

Davenport, Florida

• 37-bed ED
• Approximately 51,000 annual visits
• 32–36 physician coverage hours daily
• 24 hours of APP coverage daily

Lake Wales, Florida

• 14-bed ED
• Approximately 26,000 annual visits
• 24 hours of physician coverage daily
• 12 hours of APP coverage daily
• Physicians respond to rapid responses and codes

Lake Wales is a 24/7 hospital emergency department , not a freestanding site. AdventHealth identifies the broader hospital as providing inpatient, emergency, outpatient and surgical services, giving this portion of the regional assignment a traditional hospital-based practice environment.

Freestanding Emergency Departments

Winter Haven, Florida

• 24-bed FSED
• Approximately 20,000 annual visits
• 24 hours of physician coverage daily
• 8–10 hours of APP coverage daily
• Full radiology, CT, ultrasound and laboratory services

Four Corners / Winter Garden, Florida

• 10-bed FSED
• Approximately 10,000 annual visits
• 24 hours of physician coverage daily
• 12-hour physician shifts
• Full radiology, CT, ultrasound and laboratory services

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Active, unrestricted Florida medical license
• Active DEA with Florida address
• Emergency Medicine training preferred
• ABEM preferred
• BC/BE Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine may be considered based on facility requirements
• ACLS, PALS
• ATLS as applicable to trauma-designated sites
• Willingness to complete regional cross-credentialing
