Senior Accountant Treasure Valley Family YMCA Association

The Treasure Valley Family YMCA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team. This position is responsible for supporting the organizations accounting and financial reporting functionsensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and maintaining compliance with accounting policies andprocedures. This position plays a key role in the month-end close process financial statement preparation fixed assetaccounting and financial systems support. The Senior Accountant partners with cross-functional teams to providetimely financial information improve processes and support the organizations operational and strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

General Accounting & Month-End Close

• Lead and execute month-end and year-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare review and post journal entries including accruals prepaids allocations and other recurring and non-recurring transactions.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and related supporting documentation.
• Develop and distribute internal management reports financial dashboards and variance analyses.
• Analyze financial results and provide insights to leadership regarding trends risks and opportunities.

Fixed Assets & Depreciation

• Manage the fixed asset accounting process including asset additions transfers disposals and retirements.
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger and ensure accurate capitalization of expenditures.

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Support

• Support Accounts Receivable processes including customer billing cash applications collections reporting and account reconciliations.
• Support Accounts Payable processes including invoice review payment processing vendor accountreconciliations and expense coding.

Financial Systems Administration & Support

• Serve as a key resource for financial systems and ERP applications.
• Assist with system maintenance testing upgrades implementations and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot system issues and partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve problems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required.
• CPA preferred.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Experience with month-end close financial reporting and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with ERP or financial management systems required.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting and depreciation preferred.
• Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive adaptable professional and articulatewhen dealing with others.
