Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Nights

The Registered Nurse directs and coordinates members of the patient care team, focusing on the provision of individualized quality patient care consistent with state standards. The RN will develop the patient care plan in partnership with the physicians, other patient care team members, the patient, and if applicable, the patient's family. This role involves demonstrating professional nursing practice skills by utilizing the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients, appropriate to the age of the patient, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate patient care team efforts.
• Develop individualized patient care plans.
• Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment and care.
• Promote teamwork with medical staff and personnel throughout the hospital.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current licensure as an RN in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BCLS & ACLS certification.
• Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills.
• Ability to function independently.

Schedule

This is a three 12-hour shifts position during the night.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
