Sigma Inc is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator (Senior) to join our team in Irving, TX. This role is critical in ensuring healthcare providers meet all credentialing, compliance, and regulatory standards .
You will act as a liaison between medical staff and administration , overseeing the full credentialing lifecycle including verification, compliance, privileging, and regulatory coordination .
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end provider credentialing and privileging processes
- Verify education, training, licensure, certifications, and clinical experience
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, regulatory agencies, and accrediting bodies
- Serve as a liaison between medical staff, administration, and regulators
- Maintain accurate credentialing records and databases
- Track licenses, certifications, expirations, and staff eligibility
- Prepare and coordinate credentialing committee meetings and documentation
- Record meeting minutes and ensure proper documentation
- Assist with bylaws enforcement, policy updates, and compliance audits
- Support due process hearings, appeals, and credentialing reviews
- Lead or contribute to strategic credentialing projects
- Mentor and cross-train team members as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years of credentialing experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of:
- Provider credentialing & privileging
- Regulatory compliance & accreditation standards
- HIPAA guidelines and PHI protection
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) or
- CMSC (Certified Medical Staff Coordinator) certification
- Experience working in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare systems
- Leadership or mentoring experience in credentialing teams
