Senior Director for Academic Programs

the client is seeking a Senior Director for Academic Programs to provide leadership for the organization’s academic programming into its next decade. The role will help build on the program’s established legacy of success by shaping a flagship global leadership experience, balancing innovation with stewardship and global ambitions with local realities. The Senior Director will advance curricular initiatives for top emerging leaders by integrating leadership education with academic integrity across systems and cultures. As a senior member of the leadership team, the Senior Director will lead an academic programs team, overseeing academic program development and faculty engagement. This includes significant recruitment and ongoing support of a global faculty to teach courses aligned to the program’s core pillars: leadership, global affairs, and China. The role also includes continuous efforts to integrate new faculty into existing programs, processes, and academic offerings, with an ongoing focus on adjusting and improving to meet the evolving needs of incoming participants. The position is based in New York City and will involve close collaboration with academic leadership and advisory structures, including senior academic staff in China and the program’s Academic Advisory Council. Responsibilities include working with internal teams to ensure coherent academic strategy and effective implementation of curricular initiatives across locations and contexts, while maintaining high standards of academic quality and integrity.
