Resort GroundskeeperAs our Resort Groundskeeper, you will perform a variety of landscaping and maintenance duties to ensure our resorts are well-maintained and look presentable. This position may require flexible scheduling availability.Job Requirements:Ensure lawns are manicured appropriatelyRegularly treat weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut down and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care servicesPick up trash and debris from common areas and streetsEmpty trash in common areasPerform maintenance or repair dutiesAbility to use saws, weed eaters, blowers, mowers, drills, or other handheld toolsInspect the irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly and repair as neededReport all resort maintenance issues and concerns that they may identify while performing their daily duties directly to their managerMaintain resort vehicles and equipmentEnsure the resort is presentable at all times and adheres to IHM Outdoors's curb appeal standardsMaintain resort pool(s) by testing chemical levels and adjusting appropriately if applicableFollow safety procedures while performing duties and operating vehiclesJob Qualifications:Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internetStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to provide legible written reportsDemonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniquesProficient skills in operating various handheld tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery6 months of previous groundskeeping experience in the resort industry is preferredThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
