For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a Infrastructure Engineer. Core Knowledge & Skills: Manages routing/switching and network security, multiOS environments, virtualization (e.g., VMware/HyperV), core cloud services, and release of IaC via pipelines; automates common admin tasks. Work & Complexity: Plans and executes upgrades/migrations, configures network devices and services, responds to incidents, monitors performance, and manages resources. Quality & Independence: Implements proactive monitoring, produces accurate documentation, improves processes, and works independently within project scope. Teamwork & Communication: Partners with peer teams, shares knowledge, coordinates changes, reports progress, and supports/train users. Consulting & Engagement: Advises internal teams on solutions and tools, evaluates technologies, recommends optimizations, and coordinates vendor support. As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Azure Web Services Cloud Administrator - Mid. Project Summary AIS is supporting federal customer with a program focused on architecture and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Maintains smooth operation of different cloud-based systems, including coordination with network administrators. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation for cloud infrastructure and tenant inventory, tunes system performance, installs system wide software and allocates mass storage space. Respond to large-scale events involving instantiation of virtual resources such VMs and storage. Fix critical software and system failures. Propose, drive and implement technical solutions for automation, efficiency and scalability. Develop/improve tools, reports, and processes to monitor the health of cloud environment. Required For This Opportunity Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 4+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments. Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications. Active Secret clearance (or higher). Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices. Nice to Have Skills Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems. At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member.The targeted base salary range for this role is $89,000-$134,000 per year.
