General Manager

This position is offered by an independent franchisee licensed to use the McDonald’s brand. The franchisee is the sole employer and handles all employment matters. Responsibilities The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring that it meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The manager sets restaurant goals in collaboration with leadership and creates plans to achieve those goals. He or she leads a team of Department Managers, helps them set their own goals, follows up on their progress, and provides coaching and direction to improve their departments. Improving the departments improves the restaurant. The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a strong team for the future. Qualifications Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience running high-volume locations. A background in quick‑service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. Candidates must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate‑owned and operated restaurants.
