About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 24 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year; first-timers accepted License: State RRT License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required Must-Have: Trauma experience required; experience with pulmonary function testing preferred Description: The facility is a Level 2 trauma center, interventional stroke certified, and has a Level 3 NICU. The NICU is also the regional transport resource. The position primarily involves managing non-invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, aerosol therapy, and performing pulmonary function tests. Other responsibilities include performing arterial lines, oxygen management, patient education, and arterial blood gas draws. Candidates will work with a patient population that includes infants to geriatrics, with a focus on adult patients. Experience with pediatric intubated patients is required. Familiarity with various unit systems such as electronic health records and other medical equipment is preferred. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Call requirements are not applicable for this role. Candidates may be required to work on major holidays. Compliance with all facility requirements is mandatory to ensure timely start.
