Suites Loft Bartender

The United Center is the largest arena in the United States and is located near the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. The United Center hosts concerts, other events, and is home to the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League and the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association.

As a Suites Loft Bartender, you'll be responsible for crafting and serving beverages with speed, accuracy, and exceptional hospitality. Working in the new Loft Suites, you'll help create a memorable, high-end experience for guests attending Chicago's biggest events.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages per company and legal standards
• Greet guests warmly and ensure a welcoming, engaging experience
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including tools and glassware
• Verify guest age by checking valid identification; follow all alcohol service laws
• Use jiggers for all spirit poursno free pouring allowed
• Follow strict pour guidelines (e.g., 1.25 oz for single-spirit cocktails; max 2 oz base for multi-spirit drinks)
• Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible service; refuse service if necessary
• Restock supplies and maintain bar inventory
• Process orders through a POS system and handle guest concerns professionally

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume setting
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
• Valid alcohol service certification (ServSafe, BASSET, TIPS, etc.)

Physical Requirements

• Stand for long periods in a confined space
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Perform repetitive bar tasks like pouring and bottle handling

Alcohol Service Policy Highlights

• No service to anyone under 21 or appearing under the influence
• Guests appearing 30 or younger must present valid ID
• Limit of 2 alcoholic drinks per guest per transaction
• Jiggers must be used for all pours; no tailing or free pouring
