Lead Estate Attorney

Ascendo Resources is partnering with a well-established, growth-minded law firm in the heart of Charlotte's South End that is looking for a Lead Estate Planning & Elder Law Attorney ready to take the reins of an expanding practice area.

This is a true leadership role for an experienced attorney who already carries a portable book of business, thrives on building lasting client relationships, and is genuinely energized by business development, networking, and community involvement. You'll lead the estate planning team and play a key role in mentoring an associate attorney.

What You'll Do

• Take the lead on growing our wills and trusts practice
• Counsel business owners, families, and individuals on wills, trusts, asset protection, and long-term planning
• Own matters from intake through execution, backed by full team support
• Build and expand client relationships through networking, referrals, and community engagement
• Speak to community groups, professional organizations, and referral partners
• Partner with our business, construction, and litigation teams as matters required

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in estate planning and/or elder law
• Active license in NC and SC
• A demonstrated, portable book of business strongly preferred
• A track record of generating new business through networking, speaking engagements, and referral relationships
• Strong drafting, counseling, and client management skills
• An entrepreneurial mindset paired with a team-first approach
• Ability to mentor associate attorneys while drawing on support from experienced partners
