About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Client ICU, Critical Care, CVICU, Cardiovascular ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center License: Current state nursing license Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong ICU experience and willingness to float to Step-Down ICU Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit and Step-Down ICU. Candidates must have strong ICU experience, particularly in a Level 1 Trauma Center. The candidate must be willing to float to Step-Down ICU as needed. Current state nursing license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care tailored to the individualized needs of each patient, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy. Includes patient and family instruction in the care plan. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Employs critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience and escalates concerns appropriately within the chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
