Dishwasher Position

InterContinental The Clement Monterey is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to fill the role of dishwasher. This is a full-time, individual contributor position that offers a competitive salary of $23 per hour, paid biweekly. As a dishwasher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen.

Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing all dishes and kitchen equipment according to established procedures. You will maintain a clean and organized work area at all times, including the dishwashing area and kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, such as chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. You will follow recipes and guidelines for correct portion sizes and presentation of dishes. You will assist with receiving and storing of food and supplies as needed. You will adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines. You will communicate effectively with team members and superiors. You will take ownership and actively participate in maintaining a safe and clean work environment. You will assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or executive chef.

Requirements include prior experience in a similar role preferred. Excellent time management and organizational skills are necessary. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is required. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines is needed. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds is required. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Valid food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one is necessary.
