Position Summary
KAV Imports is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join its warehouse team in Hillside, NJ.
This hands-on position is ideal for someone with experience operating both a forklift and an electric pallet jack in a fast-paced warehouse environment. In addition to material handling, the successful candidate will assist with shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, inventory, and general warehouse operations. A valid driver's license is required, as the position may involve moving company vehicles or making occasional local deliveries.

Position Summary

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift and electric pallet jack to move, load, unload, and stage materials
- Receive incoming shipments and verify product quantities and condition
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely
- Move inventory throughout the warehouse and maintain organized storage locations
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment
- Complete shipping and receiving documentation accurately
- Inspect warehouse equipment before use and report any maintenance concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- Drive company vehicles or make local deliveries when required
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Previous electric pallet jack experience required
- Warehouse, shipping, and receiving experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
