Apartment Property Manager — Affordable Housing (Fargo, ND)

• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• (Occasional availability outside standard hours for move-ins/move-outs)
• Salary: $40,000–$47,000 DOE
• Location: Responsible for three properties in Fargo, ND
• Supervises: All on-site staff (Assistant Community Manager, Leasing, Maintenance, Grounds, Caretaking, etc.)

Position Summary

The Apartment Property Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of three affordable housing communities, including financial performance, staff leadership, resident satisfaction, and property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations, including budgets, rent collection, reporting, vendor invoices, and required legal actions.
• Maintain high occupancy through marketing, leasing oversight, and monitoring of traffic and conversion data.
• Manage administrative tasks such as lease execution, resident files, reports, and emergency response procedures.
• Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate on-site staff; promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Ensure strong property maintenance, curb appeal, safety, and quality market-ready units.

Qualifications

• Previous property management experience; affordable housing experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and financial skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and lead a diverse on-site team.
• Reliable availability for occasional after-hours move-ins/move-outs.
