Primarily, you'll be responsible for assisting consumers in becoming fully included in the community, enhancing their self-image and skills development, and maximizing their independence in life. Experience in the field is a great start, though not required as we will train you. Candidates must be reliable and should be able to demonstrate a pattern of successful time and attendance. In addition, candidates must have a valid state-issued driver's license, a High School Diploma or equivalent, an ability to work in a drug-free workplace setting, along with the successful completion of required background screenings, and have reached the minimum age of 18.Work ScheduleOur Adult Day Program operates Monday through Friday on a first shift. The CLA's are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year-so we can generally work around many different schedules or shift preferences. Full-time, Part-time and substitute shifts are available, all in or within a 15-mile radius of Scranton, PA.Are you ready to join our team? I further understand that if I voluntarily terminate my employment with The Arc, for whatever reason, prior to the conclusion of my probationary period, I will maintain liability to The Arc for the cost of my pre-employment medical examination, including Tuberculin testing and controlled substance screening. If the aforementioned should occur, these costs will be deducted from my final paycheck. I also acknowledge that if the aforementioned should occur before I earn a paycheck, I shall still maintain liability to The Arc for these costs. In this last instance, I understand that The Arc may take whatever legal action it deems appropriate in order to recover these costs. 8. I understand that the above conditions cannot be altered or amended, except in writing signed by the Executive Director.
