Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Night Shift)ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Topeka, Kansas.LocationTopeka, KSAssignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Schedule/ShiftThis position requires Night Shift work, specifically three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.Job DescriptionThe Intensive Care Unit (ICU) accepts first-time travelers and has a cardiac patient population. The team manages a patient load of 2 per nurse, including the care of two ventilated patients with the multitasking required for multiple drip titrations. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory at the time of submission.ResponsibilitiesManage and provide care for cardiac patients in a critical care setting.Monitor and titrate vasoactive drips and other medication infusions.Assist with chest tube insertion and removal.Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.Ensure adherence to hypothermia protocols and infection prevention measures.Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.Required ExperienceA minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, preferably with charge experience.Experience managing dual ventilation patients.Certifications/LicensureCurrent RN license in Kansas or a compact state.BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.Preferred certifications include CPI and TNCC.About ARMStaffingFounded in 2011 and a member of the ARGroup, LLC, ARMStaffing connects dedicated nurses and allied health professionals with the facilities that need them most.
