International Supply Chain Coordinator (100% Onsite in DTLA | Vernon, CA) Full-time permanent position with Liberty Paper Company Overview Liberty Paper is one of the nation’s leading B2B distributors of high-quality copy paper, serving major retailers, institutions, and government agencies since 1986. They source premium paper products from world-renowned mills in Asia, Europe, and South America and manage a high-volume, international import and distribution operation. They operate lean—with a close-knit team of 12—and pride themselves on professionalism, accuracy, and long-standing vendor partnerships. The Opportunity They're hiring an International Supply Chain Director to manage our global inbound logistics operation. This is a direct-hire, full-time W2 position based 100% onsite at our Vernon, CA headquarters. They're looking for someone who brings a sharp eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and a professional, articulate presence to serve as a front-facing liaison with overseas mills, freight forwarders, and 3PL warehouse partners. This is a vital role with exposure to senior leadership (including the CEO) and direct impact on Liberty Paper’s operational success. You’ll also serve as support staff on key accounts (e.g., Walmart, Costco), helping ensure seamless inventory flow into eight U.S. warehouses. Key Responsibilities Global Supply Coordination Issue and manage purchase orders with overseas paper mills Confirm production timelines and ensure timely release of goods Liaise with international suppliers across Asia, Europe, and South America Imports & Compliance Coordinate customs and import documentation (ISF, PierPass, etc.) Communicate with brokers and ensure regulatory compliance Track and manage shipments from port to warehouse Work closely with freight forwarders, drayage providers, and 3PL warehouses Ensure container delivery, unloading, and return are on schedule Provide internal teams with real-time shipment status and inventory updates Perform weekly reconciliations with warehouse partners Client & Internal Support Serve as support staff for sales and executive teams, including high-value clients Participate in vendor meetings; no travel required Who You Are 3–5 years of experience in international logistics, ocean imports, or supply chain coordination Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills — accuracy is mission-critical Professional communicator with excellent English (Spanish a plus) Comfortable juggling priorities, coordinating across time zones, and solving problems independently Prior experience with customs brokers, drayage, freight forwarders, and 3PLs is preferred Base Salary: $90-100K DOE (with flexibility for top-tier candidates) Dental, Vision, Chiropractor: 100% employer-paid 401(k): Employer match up to 5% Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Stable and professional team with a strong reputation and low turnover About the Process This is a direct hire opportunity.
